5 Buyer Resources to navigate Denver's Property Market with ease

And none of them are Zillow!

Whether you're a Colorado 'native' or have just recently moved to town, finding a property in a new area can be overwhelming.

With so many sites to gather info from, I've picked five of my go-to’s to help you navigate the city's neighborhoods - from school districts, crime reports and what's happening around town. Plus the only home search app you should have on your phone!

  1. Home Search

Unlike Zillow’s app which is often out of date and inaccurate, This Smart Denver Home Search site syncs directly to the MLS and provides real-time data. The detailed listings give you instant access to HD photos, school attendance zones, property lines, property history, and much more. It’s like having a real estate agent in your pocket!

  2. Crime

CrimeReports is the nation's largest collection of law enforcement agencies committed to transparency, public access, and citizen engagement. Simply add an address or area and see all the crimes that have taken place in/around that zone on a clear and easy to navigate map/list.

  3. Schools

Great Schools is a fantastic resource of Denver’s schools, school districts, rankings and also parent reviews. Check out how Denver schools stack up.

  4. Walk Score

Walk Scores are often posted on real estate listings to detail how walkable a place is. The higher the score out of 100 the more walkable a property is to local attractions, eateries and hot spots. Did you know that Capitol Hill is Denver’s highest scoring neighborhood in terms of walkability! Denver is also rated 71 in it’s bike score! 5. Denver Happenings

There is no shortage of things to do and see in the Mile High City! Denver.org is a fantastic resource for local happenings - from art to sport, to kid-friendly activities. The list is endless - check it out!
