2018 Colorado Gift Guide

Silly season is upon us and whether you get fully engrossed in all things sparkly with more decoration than you can throw an elf at or prefer to let the season quietly slip past you, one thing I love most is gift giving.

My favorite part of this time of year in Denver is the abundance of Makers Markets. I've been going to as many as possible and as always, our mile high city serves up maker talent in spades.

I've collated my top picks from my fave local makers in the 2018 Rootdown Properties Gift Guide.

There's something for everyone - you will not be disappointed.

For the Handy Man/Woman :: Neighbor Supply

Started in Denver in 2013, Neighbor Supply creates “beautiful and useful” American-made products, such as wood-handled screwdrivers, tool sets and waxed canvas tool rolls.

For the Travel and Adventurer :: Wanderwide Co

Ever scaled a 14’er, seen a World Wonder or been to one of our National Parks? Know someone who has? Well Kait and Nathan of WanderWide have you covered with their gorgeous screen printed maps + stamps to transform adventurous memories into a beautiful piece of art.

For the Fishing Fanatic :: North Into Nothing

Collin and Lauren are the dynamic duo behind North Into Nothing. Combining their love for the rugged northern wilderness, fishing, woodwork and design to bring a beautiful range of fishing nets and accessories. Check them out and always remember, “tight lines”!

For the Minimalist :: Eli & Barry

Originally a jewelry line, Eli & Barry is stooped in family history here in Colorado. Lily dreamt of a well-edited wardrobe of high quality basics that would be made responsibly and locally, and with care. That dream has been realized through her paired back clothing line, Eli & Barry.

For the Sparkle and Shiner :: Dante Perozzi Jewelry

Dante Perozzi Jewelry is described as wearable sculpture - and each piece is truly art. Even better, Dante creates her line from her studio here in Denver and takes special care to source all materials from USA sources, recycles all metal scraps to be remade and is a strong supporter of local retailers and independent businesses and charities.

For the Leather Lover :: Stitch & Shutter

Leather goods for the minimalist. Made with "a delicate strength" in Denver, CO, USA. Megan’s line of leather accessories from key chains to tote bags combine traditional craftsmanship with modern yet timeless designs.

For Your Significant Other/Lover :: Awakening Boutique

Nestled in a lofty nook in RiNo’s Modern Nomad building lies the discreet, yet ever so cheeky Awakening Boutique. Awakening was founded with the mission to create a safe, inclusive, fun, and community-driven space for people to learn about and explore their sexuality and is Denver’s only independent and woman-owned adult novelty store. Say goodbye to ‘sleezy’ adult stores for good.

For the Urban Go Getter :: Winter Session

An uber cool Colorado take on urban goods, Winter Session manufactures a full range of functional, high quality, unisex canvas and leather carry goods.

Founded in 2010 by the husband and wife team of Roy Katz and Tanya Fleisher, Winter Session make things for people who care about how things are made..

For the Spiritual :: Rootfoot

Rootfoot is a Colorado based company that sources botanicals and herbs to create a line of intentional fragrance oils that connect to plant wisdom and the earth. The Rootfoot Intentional Wear Animal Spirit range pairs fragrance oils with spirit animals and their characteristics.

For the Plant Lover :: ReRoot Gardens

We all new that house plants are the new ‘black’ and that you can never have too many. So head over to ReRoot Gardens in RiNO to pick up a plant baby for your bestie! Paige also stocks a wide range of books, tarot decks and other lovely homewares.
